Assassins Creed Infinity
16 September, 2022: By Ajoy Maitra

Assassins Creed genre has grown to it's height at a level where players experience a new age of story of vikings, ancient history and true open world with RPG elements.

Following the long years of evolution, Ubisoft has unveiled a complete new vision to the Assassins Creed genre naming it as 'Infinity'. With several titles announced, Assassins Creed Infinity merges the experience to a common platform where the memories of the past serves in shaping a future. As stated by the Vice President Executive Producer of the Assassin's Creed brand, Marc-Alexis Cote,

We have the chance with INFINITY to make everything available for our players at the top level. A place where they can go from one experience to another to think about our games differently and give them a singular focus.

We can consider this Infinity as a launcher that would merge the experiences of Assassins Creed games like an Animus, into memories serving to add value in the storylines. Assassins Creed Infinity would further commence the 'Period 3' of the genre for a complete new-gen experience of the game.

One of the big things that we are pushing is to have a more dynamic world, a world that evolves around you and we want everything that you have on yourself to evolve as you walk through this environment - to show the wear and tear - and to improve the fidelity of the experiences that we are building, pushing our animation systems further to make the game feel more realistic than ever.

ASSASSIN'S CREED CODENAME RED

Codename Red

Yet to be announced of it's release dates, Assassin's Creed Codename Red would be the beginning of the period three of the genre where players would experience a completely new technological and gameplay change.

Codename Red is set to be in Feudal Japan portraying a Shinobi-themed RPG. It is development by the developer team of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Syndicate at Ubisoft Quebec with creative director Jonathan Dumont. Without much light into the actual storyline of the game, it is time for gamers to hold their excitement till 2024 or 2025 for it's final reveal.

ASSASSIN'S CREED CODENAME HEXE

Codename Hexe

Codename Hexe is in development by Ubisoft Montreal which would be in simultaneous to the existence of Codename Red. Such move towards linking the experiences of Assassin's Creed is to allow players enjoy the game for a longer period of time. As Marc-Alexis Cote has further stated,

One of the things that we've learned with Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla is that we don't need to come out with an RPG every year. These games have a much longer tail, and can sustain the engagement and interest of players for a long period of time, especially if we support them well through our post-launch efforts.
