Gamers eagerly wait for every Grand Theft Auto (GTA) launches and creates history with a record breaking sales.

It has been 10 long years since GTA V was released on 2013 for consoles and later on 2015 the PC release broke the gaming industry of all records. Now it is again high time for Rockstar Games to offer us with another sequel of GTA.

Rockstar is too silent on any updates since the reveal that it is currently in development. Data leaks are always common for such game releases and GTA 6 has recently faced many leaks showing that it will be set in Vice City.

Earlier, Capcom was responsible for publishing GTA 3 and GTA 4 for Rockstar in Japan. As noticed, a QA team member of Capcom USA known as Nima has received an email and it was thus shared in a tweet on November 23, 2023.

This tweet is just a reveal of the upcoming GTA sequel however nothing more has been leaked. Rockstar has already announced that the first trailer of GTA 6 will launch on early December of this year, 2023. As stated by Sam Houser, the President of Rockstar Games,

Dan Houser and Sam Houser were the co-founders of Rockstar Games and in February 2020, the Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take Two Interactive, announced the resignation of Dan Houser. The Houser brothers were the creator of GTA series including other popular titles like Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3 and many others.

However, GTA 6 would be the first title release after the resignation of Dan Houser. As he was the writer of GTA 5, such raises further concern on a successful story of GTA 6 and probably the actual cause of delay.

GTA 6 Release Date

There are no confirmations from the developer about the potential release date of GTA 6.

Take Two Interactive has published their financial reports with projections of FY24 wherein the Net Revenue has been revised to increase from $5,370 to $5,470. Net Bookings are expected to jump from $5,450 to $5,550. As stated by Take Two Interactive,

On analysing the latest financial report, it shows indications of high growth during the end of FY24. GTA 6 should possibly start its pre-bookings at the end of FY24 which will be around January 2025 to March 2025.

Rockstar Games has already rekindled the hype of GTA 6 with its first trailer to be releasing on the first week of December. With several other leaks and rumours circling around, the potential release date of GTA 6 will be at the end of FY25, possibly around March 2026.
