As Information Technology advanced further to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning in easing out tasks or congrue a predictive analysis, cloud technology continued to provide parallel support.

Apart from the on growing technological advancement through cloud integration, studies has signified the reduced carbon emission globally.

Cloud technology can credibly help companies in India decarbonize. With India's vibrant startup ecosystem already pioneering low carbon solutions, it is imperative that enterprises, public sector organizations, and policy makers factor in sustainability as a critical part of their cloud migration decisions.

With the increased use of data in automating tasks and utilizing such for machine learning purposes, the data centre market in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 16% from 2019-2024, the highest in the Asia-Pacific region.

As per the Gartner report, public cloud services would elevate further in India to a total of $4.4 Billion in 2021 which is 31.4% higher as compared to 2020. Remote work facilities in India has triggered a tremendous growth in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and increased dependancies on cloud technologies to further smoothen WFH.


Indian CIOs saw the benefits of cloud during the first wave of the pandemic in 2020. To build business resilience and minimize the impact of continued disruptions, investing in cloud is unavoidable. India has experienced consistent double-digit growth in cloud spending over the last three years, the pandemic only expedited the shift.

As noted by Sid Nag, research vice president at Gartner.
