For years, there has been prevailing notions or doubt about the use of technology in education. However, the fast changing technology is impacting the daily lives of common people mainly after the COVID pandemic as digitalization has been adopted and encouraged all over the world starting from businesses to jobs & education.

Recent developments in the education sector in terms of providing e-learning facilities, is bound to grow further breaking the notion of traditional education system dominantly supported in India for ages. Due to the COVID pandemic, teachers are starting to adopt digital facilities of video conferencing to be utilised to impart education thereby widening reach through various mobile application for e-learning courses.
Numerous video conferencing platforms as: Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, have focussed their existence in the need to offer convenience both for corporates and students. Similarly, there are educational platforms such as Coursera, where in collaboration with schools and colleges, students can learn additional topics in order to upskill themselves.

Support from the Government serves as a stimulus to maximise such digital initiatives emerging an alternative to the traditional face-to-face classes. Partnering with other non-government organisations & edtech companies various supports are provided to the schools paving a smooth transition to virtualization in services. The Central government has recently launched the PM e-VIDYA platform, with 12 new DTH channels, one for each class to reach out to all stratas of the society.

Google has set numerous initiatives for driving education in India to a new set path of complete Digitalization and modernisation complementing the technological upgrades in various other sectors. The company stated to partner with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to digitise classrooms across the country to "deliver blended learning that combines the classroom approach with online learning."
The company will provide its software like G Suite for Education, Google Classroom, YouTube and more to allow such digitisation including solutions to teachers in providing assignments to students and use Google Forms.

Initiatives to help out economic recovery, IT Giant Microsoft has not missed in exciting worldwide digital skills through availability of new resources. Initiatives being:

• Using data to identify in-job demands and skills required to fill them,
• Free Access to various learning modulesto help people develop their skills and knowledge while at home,
• Low cost certifications to help people pursue new jobs.
